Putin summit nothingburger

Most Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of Putin summit

Fifty-five percent of respondents said they disapproved of Trump’s handling of the summit, including 83% of Democrats and 53% of independents.
Just 21% of Republicans disapprove — with 68% of Republicans saying the approve of how Trump dealt with the meeting.

By ‘most’, they mean 55%, which is within the margin of error and closely matches Trump’s percentage of the popular vote in 2016 (48%).

In other news, people who don’t like Trump and never voted for him disprove, just as they disprove of everything else he does. And water is wet.

My prediction is, this Putin summit is a nothing-burger, as it has been since early 2017 in the left’s other attempts to thwart Trump, that have all failed. There zero evidence linking Trump to election fraud, and no evidence he specifically condoned it. The left’s impeachment case hinges on such a connection, which so far has proven to be nonexistent.

Also, republicans, despite stark ideological differences, are adept at negotiating with left-wing foreign leaders. There was Nixon, a republican, who famously negotiated with Mao, a communist, to open trade relations with China. And in 1986 there was the Reykjavík Summit with Reagan and Gorbachev, which in 1987 lead to the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty between the United States and the Soviet Union. Owing to the backdrop of the Cold War, the stakes were much higher, but in neither case did the mainstream question the President’s loyalty to America, as is the case now. I would say the media’s coverage is far more treasonous and seditious (in terms of undermining the Trump presidency and America) than anything Trump or Putin has done.
