As I expected, Nick Fuentes is giddy that Republicans lost seats. He is happy to see Trump fail, as it raises his relative status and he can say, “I told you so.”
Republicans were destroyed because Trump took us to war in Iran for Israel.
A near-extinction level defeat was the only appropriate outcome and proportionate to the depth of the betrayal.
Anything less would not have humbled the “Plan Trusters” or set a strong enough precedent.

Nothing would make him happier than total Democratic control of all branches of government.
Nick Fuentes tells Republicans to take the chains off to defeat the left
"Trump, make one phone call to Ellison. Let us produce content on TikTok. Make one phone call to Zuckerberg. Take off the chains and let us fight the left as adequately as the left is fighting us." https://t.co/HiwtXUyjh0

In the above clip, he makes it sound like his help is needed, or that the Republicans always lose elections without his help. Who won the White House in 2024? Or 2016?
He’s right about censorship, but as I correctly predicted well over a year ago, Trump doesn’t care about the Groypers, and they are irrelevant to politics despite their large numbers. Their audience is also composed of people who won’t vote or are ineligible to vote due to geography or age. Groypers are a third world movement that is trying to affect American elections, and Trump and Vance are right to ignore them, as much as I may or others may agree with some of their positions.
They are right that America is maybe too close to Israel, or that the Iran war was a mistake. But these are no-go for the “GOP establishment”. The reliable, older voters in these swing states are not exactly sympathetic to the anti-war cause, and they see America as joined at the hip with Israel. Trump, Hegseth, Rubio, Vance, and the rest of the leadership and GOP establishment know this. Losing the “20-something streamer audience who cannot vote” is a small price to pay to earn the reliable “>50-year-old Fox News watching, Mark Levin-listening voter.”
The midterms tend to be a coin toss, anyway. Everyone is acting like it was “obvious” in hindsight why the Republicans lost seats; it could have gone the other way. It could have been much closer. The loss is blamed on Iran, but had it gone the other way, wokeness or whatever would be blamed for the Dems’ losses. It’s always easy to create a reason or justification after the fact.
It’s way premature to say the Republicans are doomed 2028 that Vance, the presumptive nominee, will lose. Midterms are not that predictive of general elections. Some notable recent examples include:
1994 Republican wave, then Clinton won in 1996.
2006 Democratic wave, then Obama won in 2008.
2010 Republican wave, then Obama won in 2012.
2018 Democratic wave, then Biden won in 2020.
Midterm voters also tend to be high-propensity voters–that is, more civically engaged, and turnout is 20-50% lower than in general elections. General election voters are underrepresented by polls, which worked to Trump’s advantage every time. Of course, Trump cannot run again, but it will work for Vance or whoever, too. Indeed, in 2016, 2020, and 2024, polls underestimated Republican support. Moreover, the Dems consistently run terrible candidates.
Even I had to remind myself that it was only a midterm, and I accidentally typed a few times that “Trump lost”. No single person personifies a political party as Trump has for the GOP.
Finally, I am not concerned about Democrats trying to regulate AI or datacenters. There is a huge gap between rhetoric and policy/action, and closing that gap is the hard part. No one wants to be blamed for the market crash by coming down too hard on AI (assuming they even have the power to do that, which I don’t). The market is already rebounding after the selloff yesterday. 5-12 months from now, the awaited “Democratic-led AI crackdown” will be illusory, similar to the alarmist predictions after Mamdani won that he would destroy NYC or soak rich people or whatever. These people are always wrong. It never works that way.
