Not a whole lot in the news. The Trump impeachment Senate trial is a farce. Trump’s approval ratings are climbing again, now at 43% according to 538, which is the highest in months. The left’s gambit has failed. The left hoped that by impeaching Trump, even if on the flimsiest of charges, that enough undecided voters would turn against him, but that does not seem to be the case. Things are now back to exactly the way they were before he was impeached. Now the general public sees that the left has no case and is acting out of desperation.
I am also predicting that the coronavirus will be a dud, and already appears to be dying down. In spite of all the media hype, the death count is very low, at around 60 people. By comparison, a typical flu season in the US kills far more people. According to the CDC, in 2019 influenza killed 1,800 people in the US and its territories. The media wants so badly for Trump to lose that they are trying to invent a crisis out of nothing, or they want to distract the public from the impeachment clown show, which is making the dems look worse than already thought possible. These sort of breakouts happen every four years or so: SARS, Mexican swine flu, bird flu, Ebola, etc. They get a ton of media coverage but are contained quickly.
