Once again, not surprisingly, stocks are surging off their daily lows in a similar manner as yesterday. It's hard to get much of a selloff when interest rates are so low and large cap companies have such strong earnings and profits to faciliate buybacks and mergers.

CPI data shows surging prices for inelastic goods (the stufff you can't live without) and perpetually low inflation for everything else- the so called two-track inflation explined in more detail in the original dyseconomics paper.

Consumer Prices Rise on Food and Gasoline- Reuters

Consumer prices rose as expected in April on higher food and energy prices, but continued to exhibit little sign of a broader pick-up inflation that would trouble the Federal Reserve

    no shocker here

The job of the fed is not to make the lives of commuters or pentioners easier, but to make the stock market go up and to serve as the defacto Secretary of Labor and Housing and Human Services  by using unemployment and housing as a guidepost for monetary policy even though that was never the intended role of the fed. But Wall st. isn't complaining so keep buying the dips as always. buy UGA GLD SLV and AAPL BIDU PCLN NFLX AMZN.
