Slopeofhope is a crappy trading blog moderated by tim knight and his sycophants. I occasionally stop by because I relish in waiting for his inevitable account blowup. Anyway, Tim and his moderators have exactly zero tollerance for anyone that exposes the obvious inconsistencies in his 'trading' and will instantly ban anyone that brings these inconsistencies to light.
How does Tim Knight make money? From what I've gathered, he 'adds to his longs' when the market rallies and 'adds to his shorts' after it has fallen. How can you buy high, short low and come out ahead? How can you keep adding positions without selling earlier ones (at a loss)? Does this make sense to anyone? Dig though his post history and you will see this come up time and time again. He buys after the rallies and shorts at the bottom. And after each selloff he claims to have had a 'great day' but how is this possible when you've 'added to your longs' the day before?

Having joined Slope 5 months ago, I can say without hesitation, my trading performance has improved immensely as a result of reading Tim’s (and numerous others’) insights into the bond and equities markets. Slope is a fantastic resource bringing together traders from diverse disciplines, yet all consistently focused on extracting profit from the markets. Slope is a place of camaraderie, warmth, humor and compassion. Furthermore, the moderators on Slope are incredibly tolerant. To have been banned from Slope says more about you than them. I would encourage any of your 33 followers to visit Slope and decide for themselves the accuracy of your statements.
sorry but I disagree - this blog is probably the right tool for newbees and housewives but thats about it. Regarding Tim`s track record : since I think he has a big ego and uses his blog for marketing purposes I would not be surprised if his P&L has benchmark character but certainly not the type of numbers he is trying to make everybody believe. I remember he once tried to gather support for his own hedge fund but I guess this failed..... my barber had the same idea last month as well :-)

Well---I'm relatively new to trading (primarily a swing trader) and I LOVE housewives!! How awesome is it that I found the absolute best trading blog for those two groups!!
Seriously, whether Tim (or anyone else on Slope) fudges their gains is not my concern, as that allegation doesn't affect what I've learned there. All I can tell you is my profits have increased considerably as a result of reading posts from a handful of regulars about support & resistance levels, trends, volume indicators, moving avgs, etc.
@stockcreeper Well said and it is true. Mr. Tim Knight is posting his positions after the fact and his lack of transparency is obvious to anyone with some trading knowledge. He is adding shorts every single day since past 2 years and anyone raising questions is regarded as a troll. Archives of the blog going back 2 years will show that this is true. Most good traders left the blog or made to leave.
Market Sniper with his comment is showing the aggression or anger towards users like stock creeper acknowledging inconsistencies of trading practices by Mr. Tim Knight.
Market Sniper is practically living on Slope as a moderator. He has over 45,000 comments and is 24/7 on the site and replying to each users comments. As a moderator he is spreading wisdom collected from the internet by copy & paste. All his comments are identical and obviously copied. He stays up until early morning hours and I am wondering how he can trade next day. He and Mr. Knight have one thing in common. They both are not truthful about their trades.
...Market Sniper is practically living on Slope as a moderator.... yes that is a good observation. I always have to remind people that 90% of traders loose money and the 10% often subsidize their income with other sources . Market Sniper is a male groupie. Tim Knight made his money from selling his company- now he intellectually looks for the same success with book sales and trading performance - those of us who have been around the block know what to think of people like Tim Knight.

there is a difference in writing a book about charts and trading.
