Once again, not surprisingly, stocks are surging off their daily lows in a similar manner as yesterday. It's hard to get much of a selloff when interest rates are so low and large cap companies have such strong earnings and profits to faciliate buybacks and mergers.

The job of the fed is not to make the lives of commuters or pentioners easier, but to make the stock market go up and to serve as the defacto Secretary of Labor and Housing and Human Services by using unemployment and housing as a guidepost for monetary policy even though that was never the intended role of the fed.
