Good Podcasts

Good podcast by James Altucher and Stephen Dubner that introduces concepts of ‘pacifism’ and ‘anti-democracy’ to a large listener audience, and why voting is ‘irrational’. Unfortunately, they see low turnout as a problem, but still interesting nonetheless.

Also also, a good podcast by Freakonomics about a solution to end-of-life care, which tends to be disproportionately expensive and ineffective.

PRICE: Yeah, we kept coming back to the idea that depending on the study you look at, 40, 60, 80 percent of lifetime medical care is expended in the final twelve months, or the end of life generally.
